A Rhema Word
Some call it an epiphany, a thought from a “higher power”. Life and Plight of a Warrior (Winners Never Ever Quit) is just that! In the early morning hours these words were born. A creed, not a poem that speaks of a Spirit and attitude that we all can possess. This Word, I hope will inspire and reenergize you as you go thru life’s adversities, struggles, and give you the aspirations to reach your goals! SO… stay in the FIGHT!
In 1982, I found myself down in the valley praying, scared and hungry. I was 17 years old, in college away from home for the first time and trying to survive. I felt like quitting and giving up. My parents valued education, and wanted me to make something of myself. It was a good thing I had a piggy bank!
NOW, by this age I have learned that life is filled with so many struggles (REALLY ?) So, whatever you are going through and have to do to reach your destination, remember LIFE is a PLIGHT. Keep FIGHTING and embrace your journey because “WINNERS NEVER EVER QUIT”.
Be Forever Blessed! Selah.
About the Author
Alfred Robert Ashby hails from Washington, D.C. Poet, Comedic Writer, Entrepreneur, Teacher, Motivational Speaker, and Father of three graduates. I am “Just Al”; no title necessary. Having served throughout the surrounding Metro region. I have come to know that our True Commander and Chief, GOD, has given many gifts to us and I pray that you will discover your gifts and use them for His Glory in spreading the message of LOVE in this journey called LIFE. The Spirit of Life and Plight of a Warrior reenergized me just three years after graduation, when my Mother gorily passed away in my arms. Surviving that moment, I understood that I must always be a Warrior (and YES, Real Warriors do Cry). Then the spirit said to me “Take My Strength”.
